Parent Happy Hour

School drop off time is one of my favorite times of day. Not because I'm happy to say good-bye to my love bugs, but because it's social hour for me.  Even as I'm pulling into the preschool parking lot, everyone is waving to each other in the cars as they are putting jackets on their little ones. 

Once you enter the actual school, every five steps you take, you run into a familiar face that you just must stop and talk to, or say a friendly "hello".  I catch up on all the latest happenings from my friends or make future plans with them during that brief drop off time.  Once you leave the school, you feel refreshed knowing that you actually do have friends and realize how close and cozy this town really is!

Every Thursday, the YMCA has a free Bouncy Castle hour from 10:30-noon.  I once over head a mom say, "Whiskey's is no longer the place to be seen, it's now the YMCA's Bouncy Castle Thursday!".  We all still love Whiskey's, but as mom's with young children, our social hour has quickly changed to something else!
