I woke up this morning with a bright smile on my face. I could see clear skies and hear the birds chirping. Spring seems to have hit the Wood River Valley. All you moms (and dads) out there, know what a joyous occasion that is. Our playground is no longer inside of our home, but has stretched to the great outdoors as well. Plus, we can finally pack away our big snow boots and snow jackets that kept us so warm and cozy in the winter, but did take up a lot of space in our car.
In our home, it is time to start our garden of fresh veggies and herbs. We bought some seeds from Kings (currently 20% off!) and have planted them by a sunny window. Some of them are already started to poke through the soil. If the weather cooperates, then in May, we will transplant them outside and will be enjoying a nice salad come July! Doesn't that sound lovely?
Now, we can't forget the hungry birds. What joy they bring to the kids. We sit on our back porch and watch their little bodies frolick around happily enjoying their sunflower seeds.
Oh, how I adore you spring!
Who's ready for a BBQ?
