Park Central

The park!  How we have missed going to the park.  It is so nice to be able to take the kids to the park, get some fresh air and have loads of fun and wear the kids out.  It's also so nice for me to play actively with the kids or catch up with my friends--all outdoors.  Since most parks have  been closed for 6 months or more, we definitely don't take our parks for granted.

Since my oldest son is now doing soccer with Sawtooth United, we had a great excuse to use the playground at Hemingway.  That placed was packed with little kids all running around and having a ball together.  Apparently, we are the last to know that that is the cool place for kids to hang out after school!  An hour and a half later, it was time to call it quit and head home for a warm bath and dinner.  The kids were tired and this mama was very happy!  All 3 kids (ages 2, almost 4 and almost 6) fully enjoyed the Hemingway playground and it was very age appropriate for all of them.

A list of parks for all types of families and kids to enjoy in our valley:

Hop Porter (Hailey)---the biggest and most popular park with a great picnic area. You will more than likely run into someone you know there.
Deerfield park (Hailey)--small, but a great neighborhood park for quick play time
Heagle Park (Hailey)--nice shaded park, quiet most of the time and next to the river (great for collecting rocks or spotting a moose).
Rotary park (Ketchum)---only two baby swings, but my two youngest kids LOVE it there!  Plus, it's next to the river which provides a great nature walk.
All the elementary schools (Bellevue, 2 in Hailey, 2 in Ketchum)---offers fun for a wide variety of ages

The weather is supposed to be nice the next couple of days so I just may see you at the park!
