Story time
A few years ago, we would attend the Hailey Library's story time quite a bit. It was a chance for us to get out of the house, meet up with some friend and enjoy a great hour listening to books.
Then, one child or another, got to be that difficult library age where "library voices" and "library shoes" just didn't mean anything, so sadly, we stopped going.
This week, we re-discovered story time at the Library and I'm so glad we did. It was nice seeing new families there and spending such great quality time with the kids.
The librarian chooses a different theme each week, then has themed books, songs, mini-movie and craft. It's like being in a little preschool class with your child. We had a great time and promise to be back, much more frequently!
Wednesdays at 10:30-11:30 are geared for children 3-5. I brought my new 2 year old along and he fit in just fine.
Fridays at 10:30-11:30 are for ages 18 months-3 years.
They now have a new story time hour for the after school crowd on Thursdays. My oldest son was thrilled to hear about that since he misses our story time days.
Happy reading!
